How do I sign up to the Bluebook Online?

- Remember, only media IFAs and journalists are eligible to sign up.
How do I contact a media IFA?
- If you are looking for an individual IFA you can contact them by typing their name in the search box.
- If you are looking for a selection of IFAs who specialise in different areas, you can use the search box and select the criteria you are looking for.
- If you are looking to email broadcast a selection of media IFAs, you can do by selecting either your favourites lists or a product area selection
- If you are looking to email broadcast all the media IFAs you can do by clicking here and selecting 'email all'.
How do I add media IFAs to my favourites list?
- On every media IFA profile there is a box saying 'add to favourites'. You simply need to click on this and build up your favourites list.
How do I make personalised notes on media IFA profiles?
- On every media IFA profile there is a box saying 'add a note'. This facility allows you to add additional information on different media IFAs, any information added is totally private and cannot be accessed by anyone except you.
How do I 'poll' my media IFA favourites?
- Once you have built up a list of favourite IFAs, you have the option to email broadcast them. Click here to issue your media request to your favourites list.
How do I send a comment request out to media IFAs?
- As above, by using the email broadcast facility, you can either email all the media IFAs on the database, an expert panel (through product selection), or your personalised favourites list in order to gather IFA opinion.

How does the star rating work?
- On each media IFA profile there is a star rating, this rating is generated by the number of times a Media IFA has been added to journalists' favourites list.
How do I pass on the details of a media IFA to a colleague?
- On each media IFA profile there is option to email the details of the Media IFA to a colleague. Simply click on the link, enter your colleague's email address and the profile will be sent to them.
Top tips for using the Bluebook online
- List and store all your IFA contacts in one place. As well as having access to the whole Media IFA database on the Bluebook, you can also separately list your favourite Media IFAs. You can add confidential, personalised post-it notes with extra details to Media IFA profiles. These will be saved and always appear every time you login to your account.
- Email broadcast Media IFAs. The Bluebook allows you to email individual favourite Media IFAs for personal commentary or alternatively email a group of your favourite Media IFAs for a collection of opinions on a topic. You can use the Bluebook online to conduct a straw poll on a specific topic for instance.
- Online coverage generated by Media IFAs. Each Media IFA profile contains links to their most recent online coverage. This allows you to see what topic Media IFAs have been commenting on recently, allowing you to make a more informed decision as to which Media IFA you wish to speak to.
- Each Media IFA has a star rating. This is calculated by how many journalist's favourites lists each Media IFA appears on. The more journalist's favourites lists they appear on, the higher their star rating. Look at the 'top rated' list to find out which Media IFA has the highest star rating.
- Journalist recommendations. The Bluebook gives helpful suggestions as to which Media IFAs other journalists have on their list of favourites. Each Media IFA profile has suggestions as to other Media IFAs you may find useful.
