National IFA says new IFAP opportunity is a 'no-brainer'

Ashley Law to encourage all its members to sign up to IFAP’s new online marketing package

Within a week of launch over 100 IFAP members have already signed up

Just a week since launch, IFA Promotion’s (IFAP) online marketing package has been inundated with interest from member IFAs, and already 102 IFAs have signed up to enhance their individual online search entries.  Ashley Law today became the first national IFA to confirm it would be recommending all its members sign up to IFAP’s added value service which, for just 65p a day, enables members to stand out to potential new clients searching for advice online via over 45 financial websites.

Jock Cassidy, Director at Ashley Law, commented, "Signing up for IFAP's new online service commercially is a no-brainer - one conversion a year should cover the cost several fold.  This initiative is also a golden opportunity for Ashley Law to promote its fervent belief in the independent brand especially after depolarisation comes into effect.  We’re aiming to have over 30 branches registered for the online facility by the end of August and another 40 plus by the September deadline."

David Elms, Chief Executive of IFA Promotion, said, “We’re delighted by the level of initial interest we’ve received from IFA members, which is quickly converting into take-up for IFAP’s new added value service.  It’s particularly encouraging to see a leading national IFA like Ashley Law being so quick to recognise the serious marketing advantage which this package can offer.

Last week, IFAP sent out a guide explaining this new online marketing opportunity to its 10,500-plus member firms.  For a flat introductory rate of 199+VAT a year, member IFAs subscribing before 31st January, benefit from the following range of enhanced services:

Enhanced Display.  The IFA firm’s entry will be placed in a coloured box, making it stand out on the list presented by IFAP to online enquirers.

Interactive Functionality.  The IFA firm’s web and e-mail addresses will continue to be displayed and enabled by IFAP, allowing an enquirer to click straight through to an IFA’s website or contact them online.

Call Back.  Enquirers will be given the option to waive their confidentiality and request that the IFA firm calls them back directly.

Email-me details:  Enquirers can opt to have the IFA’s details emailed to their inbox.

Email report: A monthly email report, detailing how many times enquirers have viewed their online entry and what further information or contact they sought.

IFAP’s search and its 45-plus white label searches dealt with 233,000 online consumer and business requests for local IFAs last year. Member IFAs say that 82% of the leads they receive from IFAP result in business. The online searches will continue to deliver results for all members in order of how close each IFA (matching the enquirer’s preferences) is to the enquirer’s postcode, and all other IFAP member benefits - including brand promotion, merchandise, IFAP Media Services and regional Press Clubs - will remain unaffected.

IFAs who want to take advantage of IFAP’s special introductory price of 199+VAT a year have until 31st January 2005, after which standard pricing of 249 + VAT per year (or 24 + VAT per month) will apply.  IFAs can find out more about this online marketing opportunity and sign-up online at www.unbiased.co.uk - click on ‘IFA Member’, then ‘Online Marketing Package’, or by calling 0870 325 9020.
