Defaqto becomes IFA Promotion's latest sponsor
IFA Promotion today announced that Defaqto Ltd is to sponsor its ongoing marketing programme to boost consumer awareness of the benefits of independent financial advice and how to find it. Defaqto is an independent financial product research company that provides comprehensive and up-to-date product information to the financial services industry.
This latest sponsor news clearly shows that post depolarisation there is a consensus about the growing strength of the independent financial advice sector. Truly independent advice is already head and shoulders above the rest of the advice market and continues to define the best offering for consumer needs.
Neil Morgan, Sales and Marketing Director at Defaqto, commented, "As an independent body that provides IFAs with Best-Advice tools to help them recommend the best products to consumers, we’re extremely pleased to demonstrate our support for a strong IFA sector by sponsoring IFAP’s marketing programme. There’s no doubt that the independent brand continues to reflect the gold standard of financial advice for consumers and we feel this should be communicated as effectively as possible."
David Elms, Chief Executive of IFA Promotion, said, “IFA Promotion is delighted to welcome Defaqto on board as a sponsor. Support continues to mass behind truly independent financial advice, from a range of organisations involved in financial services, which in turn sends out an extremely positive message to the industry.”

1. Independent Financial Adviser Promotion
IFA Promotion was established in 1989 to promote the value and accessibility of independent financial advice to the public. It represents around 9,000 firms of independent financial advisers across the UK and is sponsored by 32 leading financial institutions. In the past 12 months, over 530,000 consumers and businesses used IFA Promotion to find local independent financial advice.
IFA Promotion believes Independent financial advice should be:
Affordable. The option to take independent financial advice should be available, by right, to all - not just the wealthiest in society.
Convenient. IFAs should be available in the location of the consumer’s choice, wherever they live in the UK.
Transparent. It must be clearly transparent to consumers who is able to offer independent financial advice and who is not.
