How can I buy water as an etf?
I want to invest in water itself as a commodity in the form of an ETF. How would I go about doing this? Should I go to a financial advisor, and if so which company should I go too? I use scottrade now but only have about 4k in stocks...but I would rather pull all of that money out and buy water.
There are various ETFs which invest in water - companies which are involved in water technology (supply, sewerage etc). You can't invest in water as a commodity. There is also at least one unit trust which has a water theme. Your trading company will be able to source these for you.
As with all investments their values can fall as well as rise and investing all your money into this type of theme is a high risk strategy.
