Consumer Research - IFA Promotion commissions a host of consumer research projects throughout the year covering topics as diverse as tax, pensions and money lost in unclaimed assets. Also contains research on consumer behaviour especially with regard to taking financial advice.
UK Top Ten Advice Needs – report into what types of product advice consumers using IFAP’s Find an IFA search are requesting.
State of the IFA nation - a complete look at how the make up of the IFA community is changing.
Get Saving Research - This is a comprehensive independent report into UK savings provision and consumer behaviour. Get Saving! serves to highlight the extent to which people are under-providing for themselves, not only in terms of retirement income, but across all forms of long-term saving, drawing data from industry figures and a large piece of independent consumer face to face research.
Tax Action Research - Since 1994, we have commissioned annual research into how much we waste as a nation and per person by paying unnecessary tax. The areas under investigation include pensions, investment, personal allowances, inheritance & capital gains tax planning, charitable giving and - more recently - self-assessment.
New Year's Resolution Research - Over the past five years, we've surveyed consumers to gauge their intended financial and general resolutions for the coming year, and how successfully they managed to stick to last year's pledges. This has always thrown up interesting findings and annual contrasts, the most striking being how much people's best intentions are inhibited by poorly planned finances.
Stakeholder research - research into stakeholder pensions.
Industry Research – including IFA statistics, financial market statistics and predictions.
