Media generation
Us in the press
Unbiased.co.uk runs a yearlong campaign promoting the benefits of professional advice to consumers. Every year we achieve around 2,500 pieces of coverage in national, local and broadcast personal finance press. We run campaigns based on issues such as TaxAction, Get Saving and Write a Will week. We continually see our stories covered by publications such as the Financial Times, The Times, The Daily Express and The Guardian alongside online coverage with portals such as MSN, Yahoo! and Tiscali. Media opportunities
Unbiased.co.uk runs a prolific media programme to ensure that personal finance and the value of professional advice stays at the forefront of the news agenda. We’ve been running the Bluebook service for 10 years, our facility to bring media friendly advisers together with over 300 journalists who are conducting over 6,000 searches a year. The resulting 4,500 pieces of coverage a year are testament to the effort and commitment shown by those in the Bluebook and more importantly executes a fantastic branding job wherever they are mentioned, as inevitably the words Independent Financial Adviser, professional adviser and value of advice are mentioned in the article. This is a great opportunity to raise you and your company's profile in the media, with over 6,000 journalist searches a year for informed comment. To join the Bluebook click here.
Media awards
Our annual awards event recognises the work of the advisers in our media service programme. The event brings together product providers, the media and media IFAs, mortgage advisers, solicitors and accountants and is sponsored by the high profile financial services brands – this creates a unique networking and PR opportunity. We look at the coverage they have achieved through the last 12 months, not only the breadth but the scope and positivity for the advice process and financial services to consumers. The shortlist is then judged by an expert panel of journalists, product providers and industry experts.
Webinars
Video content is so important these days to help us get our messages across; consumers enjoy content in a video format and Google priorities the format too. We support many of our campaigns throughout the year with webcasts which are all accessible through YouTube. We also have them live on our partners websites such as MSN, Orange, The Independent, thisismoney and myfinances. We always use the advisers from our media programme when making these productions – so if you are interesting in getting involved join the Bluebook online by clicking here.
