Last week we asked for your thoughts on retirement directories in the market. We had a huge response - thank you to everyone who completed the survey, you were entered into our draw. The lucky people are: David Knight, Bob Wilson and Peter Lawrence. Congratulations folks, your Amazon vouchers are on their way!
Earlier this week Lloyds Bank announced they are restricting the amount they will be lending through the government's Help to Buy scheme, from a maximum of £500,000 to £150,000. We wanted to reassure those looking to get on the property ladder that there are still many options to consider and taking advice has never been so important. We enlisted a panel of professional advisers to give us their top tips on what everyone can do if they're still considering buying a home, you can read the full press release here.
Over the past few weeks we've been working behind the scenes to make it easier for clients to contact you on our website. Our first improvement has been to add 'click to call' on smart phones. This means anyone looking at your profile on their mobile phone can click on your telephone number and be connected straight to you. Go on, take a look. We're sure you'll be as impressed with it as we are. You can expect to see many more changes in the near future.
This week we're discussing Lloyds Bank's changes to their Help to Buy lending bracket. What do you think? Will this affect your current clients and what do you think the effect will be on future clients looking to get on the property ladder? How will your business be affected? Click here to have your say and join the discussion.
Every week we pick a professional adviser to be our #AdviseroftheWeek. We look for advisers who have been promoting the value of professional advice. This can be using the media, social media or even your own personal blog. Let us know what you've been up to by sharing it with us on twitter and you could be our next #AdviseroftheWeek. Last week we chose Patrick Connolly, unbiased.co.uk Investment IFA of the Year 2013 and Head of Communications at Chase de Vere, for his amazing article on Property Funds.
