The UK’s tax legislation, combined with HMRC’s own guidance and online software, can be tricky to navigate so I assist clients who:

- May be moving to the UK for the first time and wish to know more about the UK’s tax environment; or foreign nationals who have been UK resident for a number of years and now need to consider the UK treatment of non-UK income and gains.

- May be leaving the UK to work abroad for the first time and need to understand the tax treatment of time spent back in the UK and retaining property or investments in the UK - a non-resident individual may still have UK tax liabilities and obligations.

- May begin to earn in excess of £150,000 and therefore fall in to the Self-Assessment Tax Return system for the first time - all those HMRC branded forms and box numbers can seem baffling at first glance!

- Assistance with capital gains tax calculations, including main residence relief, for UK Self-Assessment Tax Returns, or 60 day capital gains Tax Returns for sales of UK property.
