What our clients say
I was amongst one of the first clients of Forty Two Financial Planning and our long term relationship has grown into a trusted friendship.
For someone like me who never pays the attention one should to Financial Planning it is a comfort knowing the team at Forty Two is in the background doing this for me, thank you.
If you like seamless and understandable advice I can certainly recommend Forty Two Financial Planning.
My wife and I began our relationship with the team, then of JRD Partnership in 1995. At that time our careers were growing along with increases in our incomes and we wanted to plan for early retirement, if possible. Their approach was very professional; they took a very understanding approach attempting to identify our expectations on what levels of financial returns we might expect against the levels of risk we were prepared to accept. At no time were we 'sold' products but were presented with statistical forecasts on what might emerge depending on the course of action we eventually agreed.
Seventeen years on this process still continues although it is well established now. Their approach is to help us achieve some of our personal retirement ambitions, some of which will require finances and to understand these possibilities and advise us to go out and make them happen with the knowledge that we can afford them.
Four years ago my wife and I accepted voluntary retirement from our employer. Immediatley we consulted with Forty Two Financial Planning and within a 4 week window he reviewed our retirement finances, made recommendations and completed arrangements which minimised our tax liabilities and produced a profitable return on new investments.
For some people the prospect of paying a fee for this type of advice might seem difficult especially if you are already managing your affairs currently.
What do you get?
Annually we have a review where the performance of the portfolio is re-evaluated with recommended adjustments. We also review the personal retirement goals agreed at previous reviews and what we have achieved; we then set new goals for the coming year. We don't get sold new products at any time in the relationship.
We get a consistency of service which is always predictable.
There is technical expertise around the frequent changes to financial legislation which helps us make decisions. We view the advice as impartial, delivered by someone with integrity and genuinely interested in financial and personal welfare.
I have already recommended professional friends to Forty Two Financial Planning and will continue to do so.
I contacted Forty Two Financial Planning by recommendation in 2010. At that time I was approaching 50 and had four Personal Pension Policies and did not have a clue about Financial Planning. From our very first meeting I was impressed with Forty Two Financial Planning. I was not, and have never felt that I have been, sold anything. This was so refreshing as I have had dealings with so called Financial Advisors (Independent (allegedly) and also from within Banking Institutions) and have always been left with the feeling that I was under pressure to buy into something and the "Advisor" was only thinking of their commission. Forty Two Financial Planning offered genuine advice.
My wife and I completed a full Financial Review which was a real eye opener. Where does your money go? We also completed a Risk Profile which again was very interesting. All this was fully documented and explained giving full details of income and expenditure and Net Worth. I would recommend this to anyone particularly in my age group.
As a result of working with the team at Forty Two Financial Planning I have amalgamated all my pensions into 1 Pension Portfolio which is in line with my Risk Profile and I have full access to this online 24/7. I am not fully convinced on the Return on Pensions particularly at the present time however as a Tax efficient way of saving it is definitely the way forward for me.
To sum up, Forty Two Financial Planning will give you genuine sound advice in relation to any Financial Matters and I would certainly recommend the process that we went through. I am now happy to know that the Financial side of our lives (which I don't really have the time to deal with) is in good hands.
Planning your ideal lifestyle and making sure you have enough money in place at the right time to support your dream life on the other hand is not only important but also exciting and rewarding.
We demystify financial advice and help people gain an understanding of what their money can do for them.
We help clients gain a clear understanding of the financial resources available now and in the future to achieve their ambitions in their career and retirement. We then create a clear strategy to make it happen.
The combination of expert advice and interactive financial modelling provides a simple context for making financial decisions for managing retirement planning, tax planning or estate planning.
