What our clients say
I contacted Paul a few months ago as I wanted advice regarding my retirement cash account. My concern was whether to convert now to an annuity My investments in general were a great worry to me, as the financial advisor who had set most of them up (the above pension fund, two small pension funds, and a couple of bonds) had retired, and the company he worked for had been very unhelpful – they sent me some spreadsheets showing various annuity rates, but nothing to help me decide what would be the best thing to do. I am now retired and my “pot” isn't huge, nevertheless, it is all I've got I so am very anxious to make the best of it. Paul made an appointment to come and see me, but before the appointment, sent his brochure which outlined details of the company and his qualifications, experience etc. We have since had several meetings, starting right at the beginning with detailed discussions about my assets, going back through the paper work to see what has worked well, and what has not. Paul involved me in all of this, and I have learned so much in the process. Luckily, and it was more by luck than judgement, my investments have held up fairly well, but there were concerns and Paul very quickly adjusted some of the portfolios. He was also very concerned that I had not made full use of the ISA allowance over the years and, again, remedied this as soon as possible. Moving on from the early meetings, we are now discussing and looking at the future – my expectations and hopes for finances as I get older. This has encouraged me to look at what I have, what I may need, and what I may want to do and has been a real learning curve for me. I am so pleased that I rang Paul regarding that annuity (which, incidentally, was not the best option at this time). He has been totally professional, yet friendly and easy to talk to, and I would be very happy to recommend him.

“…..As the owner of several Limited Companies & Investment properties throughout the East Midlands I engaged Paul’s professional services back in 2001 to provide Corporate & Personal Independent Advice… not only to support and help the developments of my Commercial ventures, But also to Fully & Critically examine my whole Personal Financial Planning affairs . Paul listens & will understand you & your Business...you may not like the Advice...but at least you will know where the gaps are...And what you need to do about it ...The rest is down to you … It has not been easy, and some advice recommendations were hard to swallow and sacrifices were made ...We stuck to the Plan, and in doing so I am better positioned to make the bigger decisions in life, I am confident all my affairs are now in good order, in terms of Business succession planning, tax efficiency, and knowing exactly when I will achieve Full Financial independence… regular Planning meeting are held to ensure we are continually progressing & developing …Paul does not flog policies..He flogs you with your own Policies & ambitions ...If you are not serious about maximising your resources and creating your own chosen Lifestyle...Then there is little point meeting with Paul

We were referred to Paul as we required Corporate Business Advice & Independent Financial Advice. We are young Local Directors of a recently formed Limited company. We operate a specialist Business service to the community &Local Business; therefore we needed to obtain specialist start up Advice, as we believe everyone to their own skills. We were looking for Advice initially in two areas… General Business principles, Protecting & controlling our ‘Shares’ in the Business …should an unforeseeable event arise We qualified for ‘New ‘Business start up Advice on a ‘Nil’ Cost Basis and found that time spent with Paul extremely valuable. In addition we took our first steps towards fully comprehensive Financial Planning, the starting point was to set up secure Directors agreements, and establishing funding sources to ensure that we the Directors have current & future total control over our Shares. By implementing these arrangements we have peace of mind that should the unexpected happen the Business will continue to trade and our young families will be financially secure. . We look forward to a continued professional working relationship with Paul as our Business continues to grow, and to ensure that we are maximising our efficiencies to enable us to pursue our desired Lifestyles.
