What our clients say
Mark is a highly dependable, knowledgeable and trustworthy individual. His recommendations are always thought out and tailored to the circumstances. Also, his approach of guiding you along the decision-making process rather than trying to force a decision upon you is one I value highly.
Over the years I have dealt with a number of financial advisers, but I can say with complete honesty that Mark is easily the best I have ever met. He is extremely professional and reliable, knows his stuff and is a genuinely nice person. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
We are so pleased to have found James. We wanted our pensions sorted and we got a lot more back in return. His advice on all financial matters is passioned, balanced and trusting. We recommend James highly.
I would be more than happy to refer James to my clients. He is honest, up front and most of all will take the time to speak to the client and really get to know their needs. I have had great feedback from clients who have dealt with James.
I like dealing with James on any level, business or otherwise. Very easy to talk to. Great listener. Comes up with ideas and observations you don’t expect. Intimately familiar with the problems of being a working man and a family man. Has taken his share of risky decisions. And he’s done more than financial advising in his career. If anyone ever asks me to recommend a financial adviser, he’s the first name I will mention.
Sovereign provide financial advice in a very different way to any other adviser I’ve experienced. Their total focus is about ‘the vision’ (not just mine, but my husband’s too) and absolutely not about policies. They have taken time to understand what we want to achieve and have provided observations, ideas and advice that have really focused our attention on how we can reach the end goal. Thanks to Sovereign, we have a clear view of what’s possible and what we need to do. We know they’ll be supporting us every step of the way.
During my many years of association with the Sovereign team they have dealt with my wife and I in a most professional and courteous manner. Their ability to explain complex financial matters in a simple way has enabled us to make informed decisions and build up a successful investment portfolio. We have no hesitation in recommending Sovereign to friends and family. Indeed, my son and daughter are now clients.
For once we weren’t bamboozled by ‘financial-speak’. I was impressed by the way the Sovereign team took pains to see that we were keeping abreast of matters: some of which are, to the uninitiated like Christine and me, rather difficult to follow at times. It is comforting to know that our money is in capable hands.
We believe you should ideally choose to work with financial planners who are both:
We tick both boxes; we are both Chartered and Independent.
We are also specialists, working with three groups of people:
1. People approaching retirement
Everyone’s retirement objectives are different. We’ll help you understand what you want and then put a plan in place to achieve it. We will also help you understand how Covid-19 has affected your retirement plans and put them back on track if necessary.
2. Business owners
As business owners, we understand the pressures, excitement, frustrations and challenges that owning a business brings; especially now during the current pandemic. We’ll be by your side to help you ensure you meet both your personal and business goals
3. Senior executives
In our experience, many senior executives are concerned about balancing living for today and planning for the future. We can help you achieve that balance and understand how Covid-19 might have affected your future plans.
We will guide you every step of the way: from solving your current financial challenges to securing a happy and fulfilling retirement.
There are many things which separate us from other firms, including:
We are Chartered: The ‘gold standard’ of financial planning, our Chartered status means we have proved a higher than average level of knowledge and adhere to a code of ethics.
We are financial planners: We focus on you and not your money. We’ll spend time understanding your current financial problems and aspirations, then develop a plan solve the former and achieve the latter.
We are independent: When we implement your financial plan our status as Independent Financial Advisers allows us to select products from the whole of the market.
