Ian Akeroyd - Responsible Life
Many of my clients now find that releasing some of the wealth from their home can help with things such as: home improvements, paying off existing mortgages, clearing debts, dream holidays, second homes, school fees and helping with children’s house deposits.
Modern Lifetime Mortgages stand at the forefront of financial planning by providing access to tax free capital to spend as desired. No repayments are required during your lifetime and you retain full home ownership, meaning that you can continue to live in Cheltenham throughout your later life.

What our clients say
Ian had to go the extra mile with our equity release as the first lender withdrew because our expenditure plans were apparently too sensible! So Ian has to dig around and managed to come back with a second offer that progressed painlessly and swiftly to completion.
Thank you Ian, for your perseverance and professional approach. On top of this he’s quite an amiable chap as well!
I contacted Responsible Life for details of equity release.
I met with Ian Akeroyd, who was very thorough in his explanation of the plan that the company was offering. He explained how it worked and offered different ways to approach the equity release that we wanted.
He made very good suggestions as to how to proceed. At no time did I feel under any pressure to accept his recommendations.
He guided me through the process and was always quick to answer my questions throughout the stages. As a result I now have the funds to do as I had wished, and it has made my life easier.
It was one of the best decisions that I have made, and made easier by having good professional help from Ian Akeroyd.
I would recommend him to anyone considering equity release.
Ian Akeroyd was great to meet and we were able to discuss many shared interests as well as property & finance. This made our meeting very easygoing and helped with our decision making.
Ian was able to offer a wide range of whole of life mortgage products. This allowed us to refine our choices until we found the best match for our current & future circumstances.
Thank you very much to Ian and RER.

We had an excellent experience .
Our manager explained everything and helped us through the whole process. He was also a friendly with a good sense of humour.
This is not my first go with equity release, first one was in 2011 with 6 subsequent withdrawls. Average rate for the six loans with 5.15 % compounding daily. Loan would double in 10 years
Read about Reponsible Lending, with a lower rate, Ian secured a toal refinance of my LV agreement, at 2.71%, compounded monthly,
Now this new loan doubles in 20 years. Ian very helpful, but I knew exactly what I needed he helped fine tune my needs.
