As part of the Retail Distribution Review which comes into effect in 2013 they will have also been required to demonstrate their knowledge is up to date, this process is known as Gap Fill. On satisfaction of the gap fill requirements they will have obtained a Statement of Professional Standing from an FSA Accredited Body.
