With the recent Government changes to pensions, affecting people aged 55 years and over, l was propelled to sort out my pension plans – which meant ‘digging out’ statements that had been placed in a drawer and left for many, many years. I didn’t know where they were all being invested, whether they were all performing at their best, so should be left, or whether it would be better to combine them all and invest in something else. He and his team contacted all the providers, got all the relevant details and then put a plan together to give me what they felt was the best investment, and possible return, for the amount of risk l was prepared to take. Not only did he explain everything in layman’s terms about what it all meant, but allowed me to feel in control the whole time! I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and will make sure that l get Dave to my review my plans on a regular basis – we are already in discussion about updating my life and income protection plans, now that l am self employed.
