The majority of soldiers and veterans find it hard to budget as it is a skill you don’t really have to learn. While serving, especially if you are in single living accommodation, you are in a great position to save. A lot of people medically discharged from the forces receive compensation that would meet your minimum requirements. I know a lot of older veterans who were once in my position and have long since spent their pay outs and compensation etc. I am glad I followed their advice and invested some of mine.
