The unbiased.co.uk TaxAction campaign educates consumers on the importance of making the most of the tax reliefs available or by not using tax efficient savings products. Our research* highlighted that £4.7 billion is set to be wasted this year, which translates into £161 on average per individual taxpayer, up from £153 in 2013.

• 77%: of people admit they haven't done anything to reduce their tax waste in the last 12 months
• Only 38% of Brits claim to be confident in tackling their tax waste without the help of a professional adviser
