Karen Barrett, chief executive of unbiased.co.uk, said: ‘If ever there was a time to appreciate the great media work of advisers and journalists, it’s now. It’s been a year of such big changes in the world of personal finance that people really need that resource of information if they are to understand the choices they face.
‘Media advisers and journalists are an essential part of explaining the new concepts, regulations and allowances to the public. We wouldn’t be able to build this growing awareness of the value of advice without their continued expertise and support.
‘For 12 years now, our Media Awards have been an opportunity to celebrate the very best work of these advisers and journalists, as they promote the benefits of professional advice. Although each category was closely contested, this year’s winners really have been outstanding ambassadors for advice and the unbiased.co.uk consumer message.
‘I would also like to say a big thank you to our sponsors and judges who continue to support these awards.’
