According to Rightmove, sold property prices in Yorkshire are up 6% over the last year, with an average price of £242,124.

Rightmove has revealed the highest average asking prices as of May 2023.
West Yorkshire is the most expensive part of Yorkshire, with four out of five areas featuring in the table below.

Bramhope
Bramhope, a village in West Yorkshire, is the most expensive area, as the average asking price is £609,627. It has easy access to the countryside, woodlands, and good schools.
It’s also less than a half hour drive to Leeds.
Dore
In second place is Dore, a village in Sheffield, with an average asking price of £558,000.
In 2020, Rightmove said Dore was one of the most sought after places to buy in Yorkshire due to its shops and restaurants, as well as good transport links and proximity to the Peak District.
Ben Rhydding
Ben Rhydding, a village in Bradford, is also among the priciest areas in Yorkshire, possibly due to its proximity to Ilkley Moor and Leeds.
The average asking price is £556,844.
Ilkley
Ilkley, which appears in the number four spot, features on The Times’ Best Places to Live in the UK list this year. It has an average asking price of £555,139.
The spa town in Bradford has a good mix of shops, schools and beautiful countryside, including the Yorkshire Dales.
Boston Spa
Last on the list is Boston Spa, a village in Leeds, with an average asking price of £500,122.
Boston Spa is located along the River Wharfe, so it’s ideal for scenic walks.
The village regularly hosts family friendly events and is 15 minutes away from market town Wetherby, which has many shops.
While the price you pay is one of the biggest considerations when buying a house, it’s not the only factor you should consider.
