Who We Are

Happy Books is an AAT licensed Firm of online bookkeepers established in 2020 by Hesha Barker. With many years of experience as a bookkeeper in industry and professional practices, Hesha came to recognise that she could deliver a superior value service to clients through an online platform, operating from a low cost base. This is the concept behind the success of Happy Books.

The experience of lockdown required bookkeeping practices and their clients to find new and remote ways of communicating and working together. As a result, many clients now feel comfortable with the idea of using service providers who communicate with them using electronic means. The traditional approach of having your accountant or bookkeeper on your doorstep to take charge of a shoe box of invoices and receipts to enter into the business ledger has largely given way to cloud accounting packages. ‘Largely’, but not ‘entirely’ since Happy Books has some clients who still prefer the traditional methods and we are more than ‘Happy’ to assist them.
