What our clients say
I highly recommend the services of Peter Herd of Essential IFA in Ipswich. Peter advised me through a very testing house purchase in 2012. He was a constant support through the whole process and his professionalism, determination and expert knowledge of the financial services was invaluable. Without him I would not be settled with my two children in our very own house.
Kathryn D, Ipswich
I used Essential as I had to make some decisions about pensions and also sorting out personal finances. I was a little bit anxious as it was like going to the dentist. Unlike many similar organisations, Peter didn't just stick to the script but was able to pick up on many of the unspoken things and able to understand my situation better than I expected. Thus he put me at ease. He gave good honest advice which I valued and delivered the service in a timely, open and professional manner. We even chatted about cars and holidays which is always fun! No hesitation in recommending him.
Steve J, Ipswich
"Good standards, sound advice and professional help" are the basics, in my view. But Peter goes further - being fleixble, providing personal attention and inspiring trust - he displays the rare and valuable qualities one seeks in a professional to handle your financial affairs.
Joe W, Ipswich
My name is Peter Herd and I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. I have over 20 years’ experience within financial services and have worked in both Banks and Building Societies and have worked in many fields of financial planning including Business Banking and so I am able to give independent advice based on a client’s entire financial situation. I am FCA registered and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Investment Planning. I also have a current Statement of Professional Standing which complies with RDR regulations.
Essential IFA prides itself on customer service and we hope by working together with our clients that we can provide high-level financial planning that makes your goals come true.
Of course we give advice on products like pensions, ISA’s, life insurance and even mortgages but what we have to do first is get to know YOU. We take time to understand your needs and to work out what is the best course of action.
We also offer a full review service to all our clients, as we feel that reviews are as equally important as the initial advice.
