Directors Phil and Debbie Slater have 50 years combined industry experience having worked in the financial sector since 1987. Phil is the company's primary Advisor and holds the IFS Diploma in Financial Planning. Since his time as a mortgage and insurance adviser with a leading High street bank, Phil became a personal financial Adviser after completing the certificate for Financial Advisors in 1996 before starting his own IFA company in 2002. He also holds the certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CEMAP), and is a member of Institute of Financial Services (IFS). Phil has been a sports enthusiast all his life, playing cricket, football, table tennis, golf and darts and is a keen supporter and sponsor of local football. Phil and Debbie have 3 children, the eldest of which now works full time in the family business. In his professional career, Phil estimates he has now conducted over 5000 client interviews, so has a wealth of experience, and as yet has never received a complaint about his advice. Slater Financial relocated in January 2016 next to Buxton town hall and has recently recruited Matt Bagguley from a chartered firm, as a para-planner and trainee IFA.
